2CRisk’s cloud based occupational health platform is designed to help organisations proactively manage employee health and wellbeing in one central location and gain the intelligence required to target identified health risks and improve productivity.
2CRisk was originally operating their solution out of a traditional data centre which had basic requirements with the systems simply turned on at 7am in the morning and off at 5pm in the evening.
Mark Cassidy, 2CRisk Managing Director, said that the landscape quickly changed in late 2011 when the business expanded into new international markets requiring 24/7 service levels.
2CRisk found that the previous platform and provider were no longer adequate to support the global expansion and increase in security and governance requirements.
“We needed an environment with the extensibility to support our growth and the new customers we acquired overseas,” explained Mr Cassidy.
It wasn’t just about providing a 24/7 system, 2CRisk did not have the internal resources and expertise in the company to maintain the solution.
2CRisk wanted a dedicated partner to support the migration to the new AWS cloud platform, leverage expertise and provide proactive support to monitor, maintain and manage the entire IT infrastructure.
Amazon Web Services was the platform of choice to expand 2CRisk and to take the solution global. The process was seamless with Itoc migrating the existing 2CRisk solution into the new world.
“We were really happy to find a partner like Itoc, who is a local Australian provider sharing the same business values as 2CRisk. Their extensive expertise with AWS and Oracle was available to us from day one,” said Mr Cassidy.
By utilising Itoc’s Cloud Managed Services, 2CRisk has extended their capabilities and received a customised solution to fit their long-term needs.
From 24/7 management of the AWS environment, to access to a broad range of expertise across AWS and security, Itoc provide a depth of resources 2CRisk simply cannot maintain internally.

2CRisk now experience less downtime, enhanced security, increased platform stability and faster product feature implementations.
Staying up to date with the latest security legislation is a challenge and takes considerable time that 2CRisk cannot afford internally.
“Itoc operates as an extension of our team to ensure the security protection and maintenance of the environment saving 2CRisk the need for a CTO at a cost of $150k annually,” said Mr Cassidy.
It is critical we keep the software up and running for our clients - with our extended Itoc team’s rapid response, we have never had to suffer financial impact from failing to do this in four years. Any downtime is extremely minimal.
